Metalsmithing workshops and tutorials

Metalsmithing presentations can range from hands-on show and tell what it takes to make a metal object from start to finish, to a full blown daylong or several weeks long residency. Processes include forging, raising, construction, sinking, engraving, chasing and repoussé, soldering, welding and cold connections. Make jewelry to small to large pieces. You name it, put the effort into it and we will do this together!

Hand engraving can be simple or elaborate as the design demands.
Chasing and Repoussé over pitch using chasing tools is a way to add interest and detail to work.
